This is the story of Jake, a soldier in a wheel chair who’s been drafted into the avatar program to help humans conquer a mineral rich planet called Pandora.

The trailer was released on August 2009 and the movie premiere is on December 18th 2009.

Don’t let the fancy graphics make you think this is just another CG movie blockbuster. Some high definition clips have been leaked on the net and they are jaw dropping. According to James Cameron himself, he’s been developing the technology to produce this film for over a decade, and on December 18th we all get to see the results.

Oct. 16th is the premiere for this movie. Go inside to look at the trailer, which looks very nice; hopefuly there is a nice story too.

This is the adaptation of the book of the same name written in 1963 by author Maurice Sendak.

I haven’t read the book and can’t see it anywere nearby, so I guess I’ll get to know the movie first.
